Homeschooling....Weeks who knows-now :)

We continue rolling along in homeschool! All sorts of learning has been going on over the last few months. Here are some highlights!

Millie Mae continues working on letters, numbers, shapes and colors. She's doing so good!

Here we were learning how to paint like Grandma Moses:

Learning about different kinds of clouds:

This night the girls worked on one of their cooking boxes they receive in the mail once a month. They made dinner for Grandma and Grandpa!

Learning about constellations:

Drawing flowers like Georgia O'Keeffe:

Counting bears are regular visitors during our weeks!

Millie doing "10 apples up on top"

That's her in the bottle :)

We did a unit on human anatomy

The joys of homeschooling...reading on the bed in the middle of the day in pajamas :)

Playdoh math:

Always time for a tea party!

Painting flowers like Georgia O'Keeffe:

We are working through the Fruits of the Spirit and planted beans while learning about patience:

Millie doing letters in shaving cream:

Trying to see how tall the Statue of Liberty is. The balloon wasn't strong enough to
stay up in the air :(  That black speck in the distance is Avi!

Experimenting with what floats and what sinks:

Stay tuned for more fun!!

Christmas 2014!

In keeping with the theme of my life - a day late and a dollar short - lets just continue on with catching up on the happenings! There is no better time to talk about our Christmas than at the end of February in my opinion!

We will start with our Christmas tree decorating night.

Everyone gets brand new ornaments!

Monsters Inc. for Avi

Cinderella for Millie

Avi wanted to make a heart with our hands so that's what's happening there :) Not sure what Millie is doing...

The Christmas Treasure Box!

There is a new series of "Millie Mae" books which I think is pretty cool. So far we have the Autumn and Winter ones.

Rudolph the Elf was up to his old tricks again this year...

Here he is performing on stage for all his friends in the audience below :)

A gingerbread house with Grandma

Baby Jesus ornaments

A fun family movie day

Christmas Eve with the Cousins

And Christmas morning!!

Wouldn't be complete without fart guns!

And the big gift this year? A Rapunzel tower made by Grandma and Grandpa!

What a blessed and fun Christmas!!
