Girl day!

Before Avi started Kindergarten, we did one last day of unscheduled summer fun, just us girls...


We started out with a little treat from the coffee shop. I think Millie likes it!

Then we went to the new animal shelter and pet the kitties. The girls LOVED it!

Then headed to the park to feed ducks and play

We took the road home with lots of fun hills!

Then McDonalds for lunch.

We had so much fun together!

Kindergarten

I can not believe my little girl is old enough to go to Kindergarten! She started a couple weeks ago and is really liking it so far. It's an adjustment for all of us but I can already so how much she's learning.

The morning school started, she came out to find her backpack, a new folder and thermos and a watch!

Millie even got a few school supplies for preschool at home

She looks so old in her school uniform. That pin on her dress is from Daddy. It's the Jedi symbol or something dorky like that :)

I was so happy that she started out with a friend she already knows and loves

It was a big new world and she looked a little overwhelmed at first 

Ms. Cambridge is going to be great for her!

Mother-Daughter Tea

One of our very special summer fun items was our (now) annual Mother-Daughter Tea. We went much simpler this year but it was just as nice. Probably nicer because we weren't all stressed with how much stuff we had to bring! Each of the girls got a little gift from their mom - necklaces! Some of them were hearts, keys, an owl, a bow and of course, Avi picked out a lightening bolt. Gosh I love that girl!

This was Millie's first time in a princess dress. She only kept it on about 30 minutes but it was so cute while it lasted!

We are so blessed to know so many sweet girls! And their mommas aren't bad either :)

Waiting for a surprise guest...

Ariel!!!! Because of that tricky fin, she needed to be carried in. The girls weren't really sure what to make of that!

They all got pictures taken with her,

Then a few rounds of pass the crown,

Even Lily's seal joined the fun!

Next, Ariel showed the girls her box of human treasures she found at the bottom of the sea. They thought that was pretty cool.

Avi is shocked and amazed by something!

Then they played a princess trivia game and Ariel sang some songs for them.

Time for tea and lunch and presents!
