Family Fun Night - Pumpkins!

Our last Family Fun Night was all about pumpkins! We decorated pumpkins (this is Avi's smile now. I love it)

We decorated pumpkin shaped cookies. Brian is not this excited to decorate cookies. I told him to look like he was loving it.

Sister Love

I am so grateful that Avi and Millie are now enjoying each other's company. They can play for at least 15 minutes (that's good for us) without someone ending up in tears. They still get on each other's nerves about 400 times a day but they also really love each other and it melts my heart.

Recovery Time

Everyone who knows me knows that I am a Love & Logic fanatic! I love love love Love and Logic. It has been life changing for me, not just in parenting but in my interactions with people in general. If you don't know about, learn about it.

The other day after Bible study, Millie was having a difficult time not screaming in the car. I had the time, so I pulled over, laid out Brian's sweatshirt and she had Recovery Time right there by the car. We had to repeat a few times so we stayed there for a good 10 minutes but we rode the rest of the way in peace :)  I had to admit, it was pretty cute but I didn't let her know it!

LLC - Apples and Pumpkins

Fall was in the air Little Learner's style. The kids decorated fake pumpkins (so their moms can display them forever) with jewels and feathers, pom poms and eyeballs.

Then they moved outside to get to know their apples better. They drew them, weighed, measured and wrote about them.

Then ate them of course!

Playdates!

Recently, my neighbor and I have started trading babysitting one day a week. I take her 4 year old in the morning for a few hours and she takes my 4 year old for a few hours in the afternoon. The girls have so much fun together and the moms get a few hours of peace and quiet...a win-win!
