Craft Day

My amazing friend Kelly made Avi this for her birthday:

It's a do-it-yourself paper doll kit that came with different paper dolls and animals, ribbon, buttons, stickers, fabric, paper, glue, scissors and lots of other fun accessories.

I thought the idea was so amazing that we did our own one day when my nieces came by for some crafting.

Thanks Kel, for another great idea!

Easter Crafting

We had another craft day with Keylee, Wyatt and Rowan. We had a great time reading the Easter story and doing crafts!

They started out painting crosses while I read the Easter story.

Then we made resurrection gardens. The grass on ours never did grow :(

After that, we went on a scavenger hunt to fill our resurrection eggs

Next we made bird's nests out of marshmallow, chow mein noodles, jelly beans and a marshmellow chick

And finally, we taped crosses and then painted with chalk around it before peeling off the tape.

March Treasure Box and Rainbow Activities

St. Patty's Day is almost upon us! I love this silly holiday! We recently opened our March treasure box and found all kinds of St. Patrick's day fun!

Rainbows are one of my greatest loves so of course, we took the opportunity to do some rainbow crafts.

Coloring a rainbow:

Skittle rainbows with friends...and a tea party :)

 A tissue paper rainbow:

Rainbow stained glass picture:

 And finally, rainbow painting:

Hope you all have a cheery St. Patrick's day!

Crafting

I love finding new arts and crafts for the girls. I've seen these Do-A-Dot markers on other blogs and I was excited to try them. Avi really enjoyed them!

Crafty fun

We tried a new art technique yesterday. White crayons painted over with water colors. I thought it was pretty cool. Avi wasn't so impressed :)

Millie worked with some markers:

Later, we made a fun treat we saw in Family Fun magazine:

Shaving Cream Painting

Shaving Cream is one of our all time favorite things to paint with. Avi has enjoyed it for years and now Millie is seeing how fun it is!
