Nontraditional Baby Shower

One of my great friends Shelly will be having a baby any day now, so a few of her closest friends got together for food, talking, laughing and pampering. Because this is her third baby, she really doesn't need much so along with a few essentials we got her a massage. After 3 babies, it's time to treat the mommy!
Here is the queen bee getting pampered and enjoying herself despite all the contractions.

This was no ordinary baby shower. Between the wine, NO games, very few gifts and fun girl talk we also added another element. No get together is complete without an ear candling session that ends in nearly burning down the host's house! Toward the end of the candling, burning ash fell on the carpet but thanks to Jen's quick fire girl reflexes, no permanent damage was done. Dawn did opt to do only the one ear though...

How blessed we are to have each other. What a fun night!
